It could be coming from back of intake meaning you have a blon head gasket or a cracked head. It could be a crack in your block. Eather way it's not good whem coming from engine. But to be sure you need to take to get pressure tested befor spending a lot of money. Good luck to you.

It is possible it is coming from the engine block drain that is not closed tightly or is faulty and leaking. These block drains are hard to spot so you will need a very strong light and an inspection mirror to help you locate it. If the block drain looks secure, look for other coolant system hoses/heater hoses and coolant bypass hoses near the rear of the engine to be leaking at pipe unions.

What is wrong with a saturn sl1 indicator says it is hot after running for 5 minutes

John sounds like your sensor may be bad. Next it could be your thermostat sticking use a temp gun and measure the temp of your radiator at the cap. Do not remove cap. Just take temp. If it is getting hot it should spit water out. Check to see if the electric fan is coming on the sensor to cut the fan on maybe bad or the fan. Hope this helps.

Temp gauge reading hot fan not starting at right temp

is your fan working for the radiator? you will have to make sure it's coming in, a next factor could be your radiator needs to be service.

Water leaking underneath the motor

A little leakage is normal. Also the A/C will drip water, but that comes down from the firewall area.

From the motor, it may indicate a leaky water pump. This will drip from the front of the engine which is the right side as the driver looks. The pump is located under the timing belt cover.

Also check all your large hoses to see if a leak has developed at any joint.

The V6 engine often develops a water leak under the intake manifold which is hard to see. The water appears on top of the transmission. Camrys will often also get a split in the plastic radiator top tank, so look there.

If you are not losing large amounts of water, you have a while to track it down at leisure !

1999 dodge intrepid loseing coolent changed water pump now PO 172 code come s on and runs rough at idel changed plugs, wires, checked timeing marks, vacum leaks Help driving me nuts thank you Tom

Hi,
You need to do a cylinder leakage test. It sounds like you may have a head gasket not sealing properly, and this is where your water loss is going and is causing the engine to run rough also.
A quick test is to remove the radiator cap when the engine is cool, then run the engine till it gets hot and when the water is hot you should start to see the water running along in the radiator. Make sure it is full and make sure no bubbling and squirting of water from the radiator happens. If this happens then it is a good sign that your head gasket needs replacing.
Let me know if you want more information.
Thanks
Jason

Radiator water leak,

check to make sure the thermostat housing isn't leaking. as this is a common problem on rebuilt motors. the only other place i can think of is to check the freeze plugs, not usually the case. also check water pump.

hope this helps.
