A single click when you turn the key to the crank position usually indicates a bad starter. A rapid clicking noise usually indicates a dead battery. If you hear a click and everything goes dead there is a bad connection at the battery.
The indicator lights and the neutral safety switch are the same sensor, if one does not work the niether will the other. The mode switch in the transmission needs to be checked and the easiest way to do this is with a scan tool.Seems so simple, i cant imagine why the dealer would not have looked at this.I dont understand why they would install a new computer for a no start condition.
try a jump start first and see if this works if it does charge or replace the battery if need be if this does not work hit the starter with a hammer the starter is located under the car at the front of the motor rite behind the radiator then try to start the car. if this works or starts to work you need a starter
Have you have this problem before? If you had the battery change a month ago the first place that I would look at is to make sure that your battery cables are on proper. I would remove the cables from the battery and put them back on and make sure that they are nice and tight. Let me know how you make out with this.
A friend here solved it. It was a bad connection of the ground wire, with the paddle-shaped connector loose. He cleaned it a bit, slid it back on, and crimped it a little (not easy to do in that tight space). Solved both problems.
