Question about Chevrolet Chevy
The first time it turned of it turned back on but the idle was jumping from 0 to a 2. I had to drive it by turning it on nuetral throwing it on drive let it keep on turning off and repeating till i got home. i changed the throttle positioning sensor because the idle was very low and now the idle seems to be fine. i went for an hour long test drive and it shut off on my it starts back up fast, but when cooled down it turns back on ready to go. I also changed the battery i had just bought the car two months ago, and the battery looked too small for the truck. I used to drive chevy caprices the motor is the same but i never had this problem. My truck is a 94 chevy k1500 350 v8 Blazer on the title thats what it says but on the embels on the car it says silverado. It looks like a 2 door tahoe. i have a pic if anyone can help. Thank you.
This deffinently sounds like your ignition module, it is located on the side of the distributor generally hald on by two screws. This is a very common thing with Chevy / GMC. Good luck and remember to rate all the solutions that you get, thanx.

SOURCE: i have a 94 chevy
I would check the ignition module. Take it to a major auto parts store and ask if they have a testor for it. Just takes some time to check and its free. Its located on the back of the cap on the distributor. The coil you can test at home if you have a meter, just ask the store what the resistances are.

I've never done it in a Blazer but it is a fairly straight forward swap. It is pretty much done with over the counter parts. Any of the web sites for truck mags or off roading would have more detailed info because they all have done such a swap at one time or another.
The biggest thing that comes to mind is the oil pan. That will probably require some customizing especially if you have a 4WD,but if I remember correctly it's a matter of splicing your current pan onto the V8 pan. Hope this helps.

You'll need to find out what code you have. There are lots of differant things that can cause a check engine light or a truck to run poorly.
For what it's worth sounds like a vaccume leak, maybe the egr. But you need to find out what the code if first!
