If the car does not start on the first try it will not start until you let it sit without trying to start it for about ten minutes.

I have experience twice the car has shutdown doing 50 MPH and doing 10 MPH. This is new.

I can hear the fuel pump load but it will not start.

The first time it happen was over a year ago. I changed the "in-line" filter, new spark plugs (old ones were okay) and the problem appeared to have gone away but it is back.

I have 1993 Lincoln town car and my car will crank but not start. The fuel pump comes on, but there is no fuel getting to engine. The car would start after I let it sit for a few hours, but now it has been 2 weeks and it still won't start. Could this just be my fuel filter?

My 1995 Lincoln Town Car was working well. Went out one am to start car and all it would do was crank and not start. First, the fuel pump was not working. Mechanic was able to get fuel pump working (wiring issue). Still no spark when cranking. Installed a new module. That was not the problem.

The crank sensor was the problem with my 1995 Lincoln Town Car. Just had it replaced. So, don't know if the problem will reoccur.

The parts you replaced don't typically fail due to heat/cold cycles. You need to see if it might be the ignition coil.Make the coil easily accessable(take of the engine cover).Have a 12v test light and some sort of spark tester handy.Start the engine, let it run until it quits.See if you have spark at the coil.If not, unplug the low voltage connector on the coil, and put the test light across the connector, and crank the engine. The light should flash on and off.If it does, replace the ignition coil. If it doesn't flash, you may have a bad crank sensor, but this usually won't make it shut off, instead,it will cause it not to restart after heat soaking for a couple minutes.(I'm betting on the igniton coil).

I just replaced the ignition module the ignition coil the throttlr positioning sensor and tje coolant temp sensor.on my 1995 pontiac trans sport 3.1. It also has a new battery and it still wont start. Do I...

Have you checked for spark or fuel pressure? If your missing spark the solution may be as simple as a new crank sensor. If you don't have fuel pressure than you might have a bad fuel pump. Have you tried to start the car with a couple shots of carb spray into the throttle body? If it starts than we can reasonably assume you have spark and are missing fuel. Let me know which of the above you are missing and I'll be a happy to get you pointed in the right direction.

Vehicle stalls sometimes

could be either the cam sensor or crank sensor , but I would check the crank sensor first , this sensor will not cause a check engine light either

Wont Start

It could be the pigtail {harness} that plugs into the crank sensor.

My jag wont start

It could be an ignition related issue or fuel.
When it doesn't start does it crank, do you have the ignition lights?
The most common problem of intermittant no star probems is the crank sensor on the front of the engine, they can break down over a period of time and fail when warm. if not then I would fit a fuel pressure guage to the car and run it. Then see what the reading is when warm. If it is nothing (should be 38-40) then I would replace the fuel pump relay.
The fuel pumps typically don't fail intermittantly, they just fail!
