Brake slip light and vdc light stay on when driving...this is on my 2006 infininti m35

Quit guessing and have ABS codes read. Symptoms would be indicative of a bad wheel sensor which often fail with hub/CV failures.

Check that your brake lights work as the brake light switch sends a signal to release the shifter lock solenoid .

Its possible you just tripped a code. Take a OBDII scanner and scan for codes. Its possible that if you erase the codes, they wont come back and all will be well. Write down the codes in case and if it comes back look in to them. Maybe abs sensor.

Is VDC switch turned on? If not check brake fluid level

See if the following information helpful:
1. Keep an eye on the dashboard for the indicators marked "SLIP" and "VDC Off" which will tell you the status of the computerized handling system if handling isn't normal. "SLIP" will blink when VDC is operating. "VDC OFF" means the system is off. Turn the VDC system back on if the Nissan's handling is poor by pressing the "VDC Off" button until the light goes out.

2. Adjust your driving if "SLIP" comes on. "SLIP" means the road conditions may be slippery. The VDC aids in steering and stopping, but be careful, even if VDC is engaged.

3. Remove any aftermarket suspension parts like enhanced shock absorbers if the "VDC Off" light comes on and handling is bad. The VDC system is geared for stock equipment and tires only. Use winter tires or snow chains on snow-covered roads. VDC won't substitute for the correct winter equipment.

4. Don't drive on very inclined corners with high banks and leave the VDC switch on if the handling is poor with VDC on. The system can't operate properly in that environment. Disengage VDC, or avoid those kinds of roads.

Have the vehicle trouble codes read to find out the exact problem but I'm thinking it's a faulty component in your abs system is causing those lights to stay on.

first thing to check is your brake fluid level if it is low it can cause this.low level most commonly caused by worn out brake pads but also could have a leak.if low fluid is the cause have your brakes thoroughly inspected.

Were you able to use cruise control? I was not able to use it, because I had the VDC & Slip lights on in my 2006 M35X. My Infiniti dealer checked out two faulty parts. The ICC (Intelligent Cruise Control) and the YAW Sensor. These electronic parts don't break often, but when they do, they break your bank to get them fixed. My bill is over $4,000 CAN. I was kind of lucky, the extended warranty pays for it. The service adviser at the dealership said it does not matter where you buy used car nowadays, especial later models, get an extended warranty that covers electronics or enhanced electrical. These electronic parts are very expensive due to the fact that the dealerships do not stock them, and the turnover is slow.
The manufacturer will have to make us pay for it.

Check brake fluid level, add fluid from sealed container if needed.

Also check for leaking rear axle seals. Look for oil on the inside of rear wheels.
