The culprit fuse was under the hood - 20 amp fuse called "backup". Discovered nice cache of spare fuses and fuse puller tool in the under the hood fuse box.
I had the same exact problem in my 2008 Tribeca. I checked the "back up" 20A fuse near the engine and it was fine - put it back in and everything works again. Maybe the contacts just got dusty or something, but the 20A "Back Up" fuse near the engine is definitely the culprit here...

Thanks for your help to solving my exact same problem...now I got some engine codes to workout. I used FIXD to scan my car,found some issues!!
The same thing is happening to me now but the back up we use only lasted a few hours an went right back out
