SOURCE: Ignition Coil
I own the same car. I would need more info on what happened to be begin with why you think it is the ignition coil.
Your car has an "ignition" ecm (engine control module), on top of that sits your "coil pack" which holds your spark plug wires. If you changed them and crossed your wiring that could be your problem. Let me know I may be able to help you. I just changed both parts on my car a month ago.

Yep...try replacing your coil pack....

Hello, this could be your ignition module. This also could be a faulty ECU, crank sensor, ECS computer or TPS sensor. AutoZone can run a free diagnostic on your car to pinpoint your problem for you and I hope this fixes your problem!

If you suspect its a fuel problem best to do a fuel pressure test, you can rent a tester at auto zone and do it yourself. They also can show you how to use it and what pressure it should be. Also if you turn the key to on position you should hear a hum from the gas tank and then a click that is the pump running and the click is the relay, if you don't then the pump isent running, also chk. the fuse and relay, it could be as simple as a blowen fuse or a bad relay.

I just had my fuel pump replaced on my 2003 Oldsmobile Alero 2.2 4 door sedan and I've been having problems with my car starting. When it finally turns over and starts it drives fine. Now it's been shutting off in the middle of driving. When it does this it starts right back up. Diagnostics reported: Bank 1 Sensor 1 02 Sensor Fault and Air valve high idle fault. Any suggestions?
