Have you checked the fuses in the fuse panel under the dash drivers side.are all the signal bulbs not working front and back.do you hear the signal flasher clicking.do the hazards lights work.if the hazard lights work then you can see if all the lights work front and back,if so then it is either a fuse for the turn signals or the signal flasher.to see what the flasher looks like, with the hazards on you can locate it to see what the signal flasher looks like,as the signals have their own flasher.it is usually on the fuse panel or behind the dash.

hazards work properly...changed bulb and no clcking what so ever..tried a parts source and they dont carry it..what else can i do..will this be expensive?

  • Anonymous Mar 24, 2011

its keeps shorting out...when we put a new bulb in..worksfor a few minutes then its out..can there be a shortage?

  • robert wales Mar 24, 2011

the problem you have is not bulbs, you have a signal flasher problem that needs to be replaced,as indicated in my first answer if the checks were okay.the signal flasher gets heated enough that it starts to work then quits.

no the hazards do not flash

  • Anonymous Mar 24, 2011

its the flasher relay look on the fuse box or under the dash, go to parts store and ask for new one so u can see what it looks like so it will be easier to find.

  • Anonymous Mar 24, 2011

okay so now the hazards are working so now u have to find the turn signal relay which gives u that clicking sound when signal is engaged , it can be square or round have parts store look it up for u so u can identify part

The turn signals in my 2000 dodge caravan work erratically, some times good for weeks, other times good only for 2 minutes. The hazard signal works fine. What can I do to correct this problem?

It could be several things, since it is all the turn signals, not just one side or the other it narrows down possibilities. Your relay may be dying. You can swap a relay with another already in the box. Just switch one beside it from another plug(verify the numbers are the same. ) If this isn't the problem, then go for the the controller; replace your turn signal control. It is fairly easy to replace and not more than about $50.00.

High beams arent working

Sounds like the high beam switch is bad. It is located in conjunction with your turn signal.

G'day mate it would seem that the fuses though on inspection are fine they may be not so good if removed for inspection also remember that if the fuses are dirty that moisture will carry a voltage to earth on a dirty damp circut. also there should be another fuse box near the battery with higher amperage fuses hope this helps

My brake lights arent working!

Normally you'll find a brake switch at arm of brake pedal, up under dash. Switch should have 12v going in one side, when pedal not pushed, and both sides when pedal is pushed.

Side signal driver side

What your describing sounds like incorrect bulb positioning. If the socket is not located correctly then water can enter the light housing and blow the bulb, sometimes in pieces. This is the only condition that a bulb blows to pieces, when a hot bulb meets water. If needed remove the entire lamp assembly to make sure it is properly located in the socket. Good luck.

Electrical

No. I have a Caravan 2000. I can tell you that I have had to change the fan motor relay twice and it has worked ever since. As for the windows, let me guess... It goes down a little at a time, and then back up a little at a time as if it needs to cool off after 1inch or work? If so, your motor is busted. Not related to the fan!

Rear window wiper same thing! Nothing is related, they are only common problems on Caravans that somewhat happen after any given amount of time.
