AC clutch relay diagram, where is located? - 1987 Ford F 350

The compressor control relay and compressor clutch are the same thing.

Go to ford owners.Com register then download your owners manual for free then go to roadside emergencies and your power distribution box diagram and passenger compartment fuse box diagrams with the fuse values and relay locations is there print or store on your computer or phone you need this more then just being told where this and that is especially when it's 3am and your stuck on the road in who knows where ok good luck Stephen

no diagram ,sorry , but usually located in the fuse/relay box in the engine compartment and the cover will have list of which is which

The only thing it could be is the conrtol wire of the A/C compressor clutch relay is shorted to one of the wires grounding at the alternator . The PCM - engine computer controls the grounding for the A/C compressor clutch relay. Find the A/C compressor clutch relay in the under hood fuse box , pull the relay out of the fuse box an look on the bottom . You will see four sets of numbers . 30 & 87 plus 85 & 86 . Take an ohm meter an check pin 85 to ground with the ground wire's behide the alternator connected , you will have continuity . Disconnect the ground behind the alternator an you will probably have a open circuit . When the motor was changed wire's were pinched or something . Most likely . Under system click on HVAC , then under subsystem click on HVAC controls . Click the search button ,then the blue link . Fourth diagram down is for the A/C compressor clutch relay circuit. Don't know if know how a computer controlled relay circuit work's . Looking at the diagram .The DB/OR - dark blue with orange trace wire would have to be shorted to one of those ground wire's for the compressor clutch to stay engaged .

The A/C Compressor relay is located on the firewall, there should be a couple of relays in this location. I have added a diagram which should assist you in locating this relay.

BUY A HAYNES REPAIR MANUAL.IT HAS THE AC + HEATING ELECTRICAL DIAGRAMS ALSO SHOW YOU FUSE LOCATION.BUT IF FUSE CHECK OUT GOOD.PROBLEM COULD BE AC + HEATER CONTROL SWITCH BAD.OR AC CLUTCH CYCLING PRESSURE SWITCH IS BAD.

Check the a/c relay. It is located under the hood in the relay and fuse box. The diagram should be located under the fuse and relay lid.

Should be in the relay and fuse block under the hood next to the fender. The diagram should be under the lid after you take it off of the fuse block
