I have a 1996 i-30 infiniti. I was at a stop light when I placed my car in gear the clutch didn't engage. Now although the vehicle is running, it will not move? What could be the issue? The clutch fork and master cylender appear to be alright and in tact. I am frustrated, please help.

My personal suggestion would be to go for these repair catalogs. I know this website www.reliable-store.com that i used to get manuals from, and they have all models online.
I also brought for my 1989 BMW, such old model, they had it and it was very good manual. Go ahead, I bet.

Smoke on start? Could be a valve problem where all your oil is in the bottom at start? Belts are squeaking too? Maybe a tensioner went bad?

Saw this service bulletin---

TAPPING / KNOCKING NOISE FROM ENGINE AT COLD START
This bulletin amends ITB02-049. This version amends the Applied Vehicles.
Please discard all paper copies of the earlier version.
APPLIED VEHICLE: 2002 - 2004 Q45 (F50)
2003 - 2004 M45 (Y34)
2003 - 2004 FX45 (S50) with V8 engine.
IF YOU CONFIRM:
A tapping or knocking noise (similar to a piston or valvetrain noise) when starting a cold engine,
NOTE: The engine is considered “cold” when it has been OFF (not running) for several hours.
ACTIONS:
1. Dislodge and remove any carbon deposits that may have caused the noise and confirm that carbon
deposits were the cause of the noise.
• While the noise is occurring, quickly rev the engine several times to approximately 4,000 RPM. Then
release the accelerator quickly, as soon as the engine reaches 4,000 RPM.
• The noise should disappear immediately if carbon deposits are the cause.
NOTE:
• If the customer reported a noise that exactly matches the symptoms listed above, but you cannot
duplicate it, the cause may still be carbon deposits. Go to step 2.
• If the noise does not stop after revving the engine, or you observe any other noise that doesn’t match
one described above, go back to ASIST for further diagnostic and repair information.
2. To prevent this incident from occurring again, add a bottle of Nissan In-Tank Fuel System Cleaner
P/N 999MP-FSC00P to a full tank of fuel (in the vehicle’s fuel tank) according to the instructions on the
label.
• This product is proven to reduce carbon deposits on pistons and combustion chambers, as well as
cleaning other components of the fuel system.

Hope helps.

It Don't want to go at a red light

Red light means Stop, so it shouldn't have to go.
However, if the red light were defective and/or requiring traffic marshals to wave motorists through the intersection, then perhaps you should check up on the following:
1. Has the car switched off?
2. Is the idle (rev count) high enough to move the vehicle from a stopped state?
3. Is your hand/foot brake still engaged?
4. Is the vehicle in the correct gear (the typical gear to be in based on your gearbox type, may be 1, D or D1 ..for forward motion of the vehicle)
5. Is the clutch(if present) still pushed in? (this will prevent the selected gear from turning the engine)
6. If no clutch is present, you have an automatic transmission.. do you have enough transmission fluid?
If all of the above are in order, it might be that the gear you wish to use is faulty or borken, or your clutch plate is worn down too much (this can happen when you 'ride the clutch' a lot.. both will require attention which I can not talk you through via this medium. An auto shop should be consulted for further advice..

No you can't adjust this problem. You have a problem with your hydraulic portion of your clutch or your pressure plate so you need to get it fixed.

My wife's 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara is starting to have problems shifting. Every time you depress the clutch pedal and try to put the vehicle in first gear from a stop position, the stick doesn't want to go...

Do the following:
-Check the clutch fluid,
-With the engine off make the trip from 1 to 5 gear,as if you were on the road
if it is okay
Let's go to the second step, With the engine running, do the same but keeping the pedal depressed , Does not engage any gear ?
-If the clutch fluid is OK , then The bearing of the output shaft is damaged or clutch release bearing

Sounds like low fluid in the hydraulic clutch system, look under the hood next to the firewall on the drivers side should be a small resevior with a black top. Remove the top and check the level, if it gets even slightly low this problem will occur. it takes dot 3 or 4 brake fluid. If it is not low it could be that your slave cylinder is going bad. Also you may need to change out the fluid in your transmission, recomended at 60,000 mile intervals.
