Hi i have hyundai elantra gls have changed the fuel punp but still have problem take about 3 to 12 time to turn starter to start

Possibly, some do cover things that affect starting, the 'fuel pump relay' for instance. You need to diagnose, not just replace as a guess. Check for codes. A prograde scan tool will diagnose all modules and relays.

I do not know what could have caused this but when i lock my car... ... lock yourdoors with your key fob(might have to hit the lock button twice) ... The alarm/horn should start beeping. ... 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T R-spec in Karussel White.... My lights flash when I lock it, but the horn doesn't sound.

The fuel filter is located in the fuel tank. It is part of the fuel pump module. It is not considered serviceable. It gets changed when the fuel pump is replaced.

Hi Warren, I had a 1995 Elantra and they were very good at reusing their tehnology on all their models. What engine size are you talking about here. Mine was 1600 GLS but there was a 1800 GLS as well. On the Sonata some had bigger engines which may have required stronger starter motors, so please check first.

ask for a quality injector cleaner to be added to the tank
ask that the fault codes be read as part of the service

it can if you have the proper tools and a little patience its not very hard at all it may be a little snug i cant remember off hand where the starter is located on that car but its relatively an easy fix.

hi from uk may i suggest you recheck battery terminal leads are clean/secure? then check the negative lead from battery where it connects at the other end to the engine usually at point where engine and transmission connet? ensure this connection is also clean/secure ? also you may try this? turn engine manually by crankshaftpully half a turn if it starts ok ? without click ? you may have a bad spot of teeth at some point on ring gear on flywheel? and now and again engine stops at the point thatstarter locks on bad teeth and does not rotate hence the click ? by turning engine half turn will clear teth from starter pinion ?you may even hear/feel starter pinion free itself ?

The fuel filter is in the fuel tank attached to the bottom of the fuel pump... it's called a 'sock' and doesn't need replacing.

If the filter is not at the tank, under the access panel, under the rear seat, then it is inside the tank.

Have you check it for spark when it won't start?
