There is nothing that prevent air flow in the vehicle. There is a blend door that controls whether the air is hot or cold, a mode door that controls what vents the air comes out of, and a fresh air door that controls whether or not the air comes from outside the car or recirculates inside the car.

    Is the blower motor working?

Hi!!
The part is called Blend Door Actuator, it is located on the passenger side under dash, behind glove compartment, on the blower motor housing, is held by two or three screws and has an electrical connector plugged into it. You can get a replacement at almost any auto parts store.
Good Luck!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.

Its a pain to change you have to remove the dashboard cover including the glove box. Disconnect the passenger air bag and it is located behind there. Its a pain to do , since i have done it twice . The first time i did it i installed a used one. Dont bother getting a used one , most dealers can still order it and it is about 100 dollars. there you can get it on ebay as well just search for Ac/heat actuator. It is a pain to do.

Is that why the middle two A/C vents dont have any air blowing out of them but it comes out fine everywhere else? It also makes a weird humming noise under dash when A/C mode has the air coming out or the front vents alone. Is it because it is sending signal to open the flaps and they are not responding or is it just a noise from whatever is not working in the first place? This is a 2002 Lexus RX300

2001 dodge durango 4x2 with ac on, hot air blows out of driver side vents and cold air blows out of passenger side vents

There's a small motorized flap that's controlled by the heating and ac system that's gone bad. This part changes the air to flow from the ac or heating side depending on settings. I had a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the same issue, the fix is relatively simple once you get to it, however you must completely remove the dash to get to the part. The part is about 15.00. When removing the Dash you MUST disable the air bags, if you do not you risk injury or death if they are accidentally deployed.

2000 lincoln ls ac is blowing hot air on pass side

On the central console is the A/C module. Inside A/C module are driver's side & passenger's side air flaps for mixing hot & cold air and directed air flows towards driver's side & passenger's side according to driver commands. The passenger's side flap for mixing hot & cold air according to driver commands is bad. Flaps are actuated by electrical step by step motors. Could be damaged the flap actuator (motor), the flap mechanism (blocked in "HOT" air position), and / or electrical supply wires. You must access the passenger's side flap for mixing hot & cold air, and see what happens when you command cold air to the driver's side: flap mechanism, flap actuator, supply wires, ... Repair & replace bad pieces and test the A/C system.

2003 gmc Yukon 5.3 ..2WD air conditioner blows

A vacuum hose that controls the little door that switches where the air blows from is off, its gonna be a real chore the find which one and take the dash out to get to it, but you might get lucky and be able to look underneath the dash from the passenger side and actually see it, good luck

AC IS BLOWING THROUGH DEFROST VENTS AND LOWER VENTS NOT CENTER VENTS.

The A/C module placed inside central console has air flaps for air flows guiding against center, lateral, lower, defrost - air vents. Air flaps are acting by electrically motorized mechanisms. Here you must search for damages!

2005 chevy truck a/c works cant get heat blows cold

This sounds like a valve problem, or a heater/ cool air door stuck.
Many GM vehicles, have under the hood, a valve, it is electronic or vacuum controlled. When you switch the lever to heat, this valve opens, thus letting hot water flow through to the heater core.
On some newer models, there is a door (flap so to speak) within the interior compartment. This flap opens and closes between heater core and interior, thus controlling hot air flow.
Have you check to insure there is sufficient coolant in the system?
Low coolant levels will also cause no heat, but will also show signs of engine running warmer, sometimes much warmer than it should.
The valve under hood was as used on my 1995 Astro van. the mechanism looked to work as you could see shaft move in and out, problem was the diaphram or flap in valve on end of shaft (inside valve and not visible) was detached.
The other method, interior door or flab within heater box assembly was a problem on my 1998 Ford Expedition.
Yours, being GM, I would check for this valve under hood. It will be somewhat obvious in most cases as it will have heater tubes running into it and from it into firewall.

Jeep AC blows cold air at defrost and feet but not through vents

There is a flap that directs the air. the flap is controlled by a vacuum actuator. This is located inside the venting. The actuator is connected to little vacuum hoses that attach to the temperature control switch. Either the flap is stuck, or the actuator has gone bad.

Ac vent problem

Damper/flap for driver's side is probably stuck. Try moving the selector from cold to hot several times. Also, move the recirc/outside air control if the previous doesn't work.

AC blowing heat and air at same time

Yeah Ron, the flap that covers the heater core is open and when you're moving the air is pushed over the heater core and into the cab your in. Possibly just a vacuum line of that controls said flap. Check all vacuum lines for good proper connection to these flaps because all of them are vacuum actuated.
