I have a 2008 Toyota Sienna that was just serviced at the dealership for recalls. They replaced the oil cooler hose. One week later, the vehicle was driven for the second time, when all of the lights came on and the engine started missing. Brought to local mechanic. They found one of the fuel injector wires frayed with shavings on the cyclinder cover. Could this have been caused by the dealer while replacing the oil cooler hose?

SOURCE: Landcruiser GXL 2002 Turbo Diesel - Fuel ? problem

I can only relate this problem to those similar to Ford F150's,,,on the fords it would be bad grounds from the battery to the frame, and engine,,and from the engine to the Firewall.
This would play havoc with the ECM especially when it was damp.
So i can only suggest the obvious to me at least.
Good luck to you.

The maintenance required light has come on and we have just had the oil and filter changed. How do we reset the system. I have a 2008 Toyota Sienna.

Key in the off position, press and hold odometer button, turn key on. If done properly, you will see dashes on odometer, they will disappear in 10 seconds. You may now remove finger from button. The system has been reset.
