1992 Chrysler LeBaron 3.0 L. V6 Engine runs beautifully but after 16-20 miles highway driving engine stalls as if flooded, or as if fuel is cut-off. After sitting for a few minutes, will start and run normally again, usually for the same 16-20 miles when it repeats the symptoms again. We've changed spark plugs and wires, distributor cap, rotor, new battery and wires, new exhaust system (not including catalytic converter), changed oil and oil filter, ran fuel system and injector cleaners through system, fuel pump's fine! Previous owner re-routed fuel lines to by-pass fuel filter, no idea why he did that!! Any suggestions??

    CAR RAN FINE SHUT IT OFF WENT INTO STORE (5 MINUTES MAX) CAME OUT TRIED TO START CAR AND ACTED LIKE BATTERY WAS LOW -BUT WAS NOT ,JUMPED CAR FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES AND STILL THE SAME.CAR WAS JUST ALL DONE -NEW STARTER,COIL,IGNITOR,PLUGS,WIRES,CAP&ROTOR,INJECTORES,ALL SENSORS ANY IDEAS ??? BATTERY TO AND IS AT 13.10 VOLTS ALSO CABLES & FUSEABLE LINK WAS CHANGED TOO.

    Changed tps, electronic ignition coil, electronic vacuum solenoid, coil pack, spark plugs and wires and fuel filter and fuel pump.It stalls after reaching car temp. Will stall out, shut off with no warning.

The owner probably rerouted the fuel line because like my 92 chrysler lebaron v6 3.0 the fuel lines keep seeming to come off and the clamps always break. I have replaced the clamps 5 times in a month and replaced filters 2 times in 2 months. The only thing i could think of is that your fuel is being cut off possibly because there is no filter to clean all the junk out. Try putting a fuel filter on and see if that will work

I was driving down the road and lost power..no gas..no brakes...no steering.

did it restart?
the engine stalled, as such you
get
no engine power
no P/S reverts to manual steering, you did not loose steering.
same with P/B power brakes, you didnt lose it you lost power
assist, brakes will stop just as vast but takes a husky foot.
in school (driving) we were though to drive, stalled engine.
i guess most school went dumb. (seen it)

engine stall for a vast number or reasons.

do that tuneup not called the 60k mile service point list. did you.?
cars ignored all fail, no car runs 300k miles service free,
skip them and get stranded, (i promise)

1: lost electric power to the EFI system.
2: engine overheated or lost compression for any reasons (complex)
3: lost spark
4: lost fuel
5: too much fuel, flooding, and stalling.
6: egr sticks open.
7: ISC sticks closed.
8:if not restart, say so and list expands way more...

cars are complex, it's not like a burned out desk lamp.
vast complexity and after 2007 , insane complexity.
avoid them 2007 and newer, sans NASA engineer.

1992 isuzu pickup,2.6 engine , surges up and down after 10 minutes then shuts off

engine surges, then stalls. correct.>?

nice testing , rare here, real nice !!!!
spark good as it stalls
so if engine is ok, compression, (seems cat is not melted with 20 " HG)
is flooding or starving for fuel,.
one or the other, you can find that out.
if spark timing was ok, then the belt did not slip. on cam)
leaving only fuel issues.
so DO the magic , WOT, cranking trick this trick (logic in ECU)
cuts the injectors dead, cranked, to unflood all engine with EFI.
do that?
check spark tips, for 3 to 4 hours dead.? be next
2.6L (is 4 cylinder.) is cam belt drive, i never fail to check it first
the fail, at 60k miles, all do. all rubber band engines do.,

if all this is ok, not flooding
one can start engine with test fuel, and even keep it running
even with (hint) fuel pump relay pulled.
if that works, the fueling is wrong.
injectors leaking,? ?
if only one spark tip is wet , soaking in fuel, Injector issues.

when it stalled pull all 4 plugs and look at the tips.
(if cam is timed right) be super super first thing, on this 4 banger.

1992 Chrsler LeBaron. Lack of acceleration from dead stop. I get error code 12 from diagnostics.

Code 12 is just telling you the battery has been disconnected, and computer reset when this happens. Did this happen suddenly or over time just gradually got slower? How does it run at highway speeds? When was last tune-up, throttle body cleaned, fuel filter changed, air cleaner etc? What engine and current mileage? All these answers will help us help you.

The problem is high consumption of fuel. The car starts good, runs well, but the fuel consumption is about 20 liters per 100 km in the city and about 15 liters per 100 km at highway. My suppositions...

Fuel injector are worn out they. Might be dribbling as a bigger engine it won't stall or flood it raises the idling making you feel it's power but consuming more fuel

Car tries to stall, going over 50 mph.

you may have a fuel flooding, try to replace your sparkplugs and hi tension wires. if the problem still exists try to replace the fuel filter and fuel pump. try draining your fuel tank too and get rid of the rust and dirt. hope this helps

1992 chrysler lebaron convertible v6 3.0 Radiator problem

Have this car fuel injection ore carburettor?Are the electrik fan on the radiator? What are the temratur gauge showing whwn the engine overheat? are the car overheating when you drive? If the are el fan , you must check if the fan get 12v when the engine are warm. If you not get 12 v you must check the sensor som start the el fan.
Another things coul be the water pump, ore the termostat. Did you use glykol (anti freze) ore only water on the radiator?
