Hi,
Follow the radiator hose to the top of the engine. Where the hose is clamped on to the engine is the thermostat housing.. The thermostat is under the housing.

Does my 1994 gmc safari 4.3 z have a cam shaft sensor ? if so does anyone know where it is located ? \i have looked everywhere and can't seem to locate it?
The camshaft sensor is located in the distributor. The sensor functions as an ignition device in the Enhanced Distributor Ignition system. In the event of failure or damage, the sensor is not directly involved with driveability.

1994 GMC Safari. Rear a/c unit. I want to replace
It is not necessary to remove the ac lines for removal of the intake manifold.Remove the bolts that hold the ac compressor and it will allow enough room to access the intake.Make sure you mark the location of the number one cylinder on the distributor before removal.

A/C Compressor Question
Try grounding the LOW PRESSURE A/C SWITCH by the compressor, while trying to recharge. This will energize the compressor. Hope this helps.
