there so many thin g that have to be done to check why it doesnt start when you put the key on do you here the gas pump running if not get somebody to crank the engine you go under the car with a hammer try to hit under the gas tank hit many time while the engine is cranking if it start you have to change the gas pump if not let me know i tell you something elsehope it a fixya pierre

TRY THIS PROCEDURE WITH IGNITION ON WITH KEY IN SWITCH.LEAVE SWITCH ON POSITION WITH ENGINE OFF. FOR TEN MINUTES WATCH THE SECURITY LIGHT IF IT TURNS OFF IN TEN MINUTES.TURN OFF IGNITION SWITCH FOR 5 SECONDS THEN TRY STARTING DO THIS PROCEDURE TWICE.IF CAR DONT CRANK THE DEALERSHIP HAS TO REPROGRAM NEW KEY AND IGNITION SWITCH.

you can not.it will damage the transmission.

Yes. There are companies that make pumps. ect to pull these out of gear. See any RV dealer or Trailer Hitch specialist.

I looked through my past maintenance receipts and found on 7/06 the dealership wrote,"Won't start. Passlock sensor shorted, replaced sensor. I then called GM to ask why they replace junk with junk and her records indicated that a lock cylinder was replaced on that date. I'm confused. I have asked my independent mechanic & he is not really aware of this problem.He still thinks it may be fuel pump. I went to the rockies site you suggested & they are asking 179.00 for some module.It also mentioned something about going to Radio Shack & spending much less. I am a 53 yr old female and not sure which route to go.
