This car is actuelly equiped with 2, and it depends on what kind of connection you have. The OBD2 connector is located on the passenger side to the left of the glove box. The other connector which is a round connector is located under the hood on the drivers side next to the abs module.... It will have a round cover over it.

SOURCE: Computer analysis of computer

This is an evaporative emission code, you ether left the gas cap loose or the fuel system is leaking and will not hold a vacuum.

This is the code definition:

No spark to the spark plugs an no fuel pressure . Testing is how to find what the problem is . Pull a plug wire off a spark plug or pull a coil off spark plug with coil over plug ignition system . Hook up a spark tester an try to start the vehicle . Is there spark ? Hook up a fuel pressure gauge an check for fuel pressure .

Po300 code

If the problem isn't fixed the error code will keep returning. You'll need to get the ignition system checked from the spark plugs back over, (plug leads, ignition coil, etc). The injectors might need checking as well.

I have a 1996 caprice classic _ v8 5.7 engine.. & my check engine light is on but the car seems to run perfectly fine.. I jus brought the car & plan on changing the spark plugs & wires, but...

you need to hook up a diagnostic code retrieving tool to the aldl < assembly line diagnostic link > this is located under the instrument panel on the drivers side, plug the tester into the link, then turn on the ignition key, but do not start the vehicle, the tester will cycle through the computer , and will retrieve any trouble codes that the computer has picked up, once you have recieved the trouble code or codes, write them down, and then turn off the ignition key, and unplug the tester, then compare the codes to the code booklet, and then it will tell you what the code stands for, and then you can check those areas to see what the problem is, also if you do not have a tester, a auto part store will check this for free, hope that this information has helped you.

My check engine light came on then after that the car doesn't accelerate rapid enough...

It could be a sensor. Most likely and commonly unless your fuel filter is plugged. Computer Check/Service engine lights are connected to the computer so any time anything electrical or electronical goes faulty, your check/service engine light will come one. You should have the car's computer hooked up to a code reader or diagnostic scanner which many part stores will test for free. This tester can tell you what's wrong with the car as well as shut off the service engine light.

Can't get the check engine light to go out on our 2005 Trailblazer. Recently replaced the spark plugs, air filter and previous to this a recent oil change as well.

There could be a hundred causes for a check engine light. First step is to hook up a computer scan tool and see what codes the computer has. The next step depends on the codes.

Just bought a used Sunfire. Check engine light

I have never had to replace an ALDL plug in 28 years. This includes 4 years working for a GM dealership.

Check your manual for a fuse location for the diagnostic link. Also try the generic vehicle data stream on the scanner. Is this a good scanner like a snap-on or genesis? If it a cheap one, suspect that.

Try going to an Advance or Auto=zone store and have them try to scan it.

Hope this helps
