Actually floorboarding the accelerator 3 times within 5 seconds works for most 2000 and newer GM cars as previously noted. However there is one caveat. That is hold it to the floor for 1/4 sec before releasing it. For more information go to http://preventativeautoservice.com/ and click on oil change light reset. Select make and model. You could try removing the ground wire off of your battery and leave it off for at least 2 minutes before putting it back on.This should clear the light and if it doesn't then you could have a bad oil pressure sending unit.
