The PCV valve is located under the hood, center, upper engine area, top of engine, mounted in passenger side of intake manifold. I hope this helps and good luck.
Hi, the MAP semsor is located on the passenger side of the engine in from of the intake manifold (which is the black plastic/composite housing also referred to as the plenum). There are two wires and a little connector leading to it. Below this is another plastic apparatus which you can turn counter clockwise using a 15mm socket once the MAP sensor has been removed. Under here you will find your PCV valve. Make sure when changeing the PCV valve that you replace the O-ring and don't forget that it goes on the new PCV valve starting from the bottom. Another way to describe it is this. Hold the O-ring in the palm of your hand then push the new PCV valve into it. Take care
Remove PCV valve from rocker cover. Run engine at i dle. Place thumb over open end of PCV valve to check for vacuum. If there is no vacuum at valve, c heck for obstruction in manifold port, hoses or PCV valve. Repair or replace as necessary.
Turn engine off. Remove PCV valve. Shake valve and listen for rattle of check valve inside. If a clear rattle is not heard, replace PCV valve.
Visually inspect valve for varnish or deposits whic h may make PCV valve operation sticky, restricted o r cause incomplete seating of valve. Replace if neces sary. An engine must be sealed for the PCV system t o function as designed. If leakage, sludging or dilut ion of oil is noted AND the PCV system is functioni ng properly, check engine for cause and repair as requ ired to insure PCV system will continue to function properly. An engine operating without any crankcase ventilation can be damaged so it is important to replace PCV valve and air cleaner breather at regul ar intervals (at least every 30,000 miles). Check a ll hoses and clamps for failure or deterioration.
Remove the sight shield from the fuel rail. (it's the large plastic shield that dresses up the engine) As you stand in front of the car the alternator is located on rear left side. In front of it is an electrical connector to the MAP sensor. Remove it. Press the PCV valve cover down and rotate it 1/4 turn counterclockwise. It is actully on the intake manifold. Lift the cover, the upper O-ring and the spring from the housing. Remove the pcv valve and the lower O-ring from the intake manifold.
Open hood, top left side between the valve covers. There is a "funky" plastic housing that turns counter-clockwise (less than 1 inch of travel). then pull straight up to reveal the "missing" pcv valve.
