The hub won't come off. Do I need a special tool to make it release?

I need to know how - 97460706 Take it apart in the order you see you need some snap ring pliers for item #4 . Take off #7 and the rest of the parts. Seperate the hubs from the Rotors (it may need to go to a machine shop fort this operation) When you reassemble make sure that one of the holes in # 7 line up perfectly with a threaded hole in #8
Make sure you get the wheel bearings tight but not too tight and Grease them properly with the prooper Lube recommeded by Izuzu.
Hand TORQUE the wheel lug nuts as Izuzu has a BIG BIG Problem with wheel lugs stripping USE A TORQUE WRENC

To do the front disks - take off the auto hub housing, undo the 6 bolts in a ring don't worry, nothing will ping out. Once the housing is off, clear away the grease from the end of the shaft, put a little flat screw driver in, and look for the circlip - it's a *beep* to get out.
hope i helped you plz rate me solution thanks

How do u remove hubs on a 1992 Isuzu big horn

TO DO WHAT? not even the smallest hint on job or failure.>?
USA?
hubs, the rears have hubs to with disc brake option.rotor hubs.
I guess front hubs?.
guess 2, wheel bearing hubs, and not 4wd axle locking hub units.
doing what?
brakes, wheel bearings, axle damage. 4wd axle bearings what?
the pages are 2wd pages, and 4 wd pages, which is yours?
is this your first time DIY ever. ? or first time 4wd?
guess 3, 4wd, how am I guessing....

names
Acura SLX
Chevrolet Trooper
Isuzu Bighorn
Holden Jackaroo
Holden Monterey
Honda Horizon
HSV Jackaroo
Opel Monterey
Subaru Bighorn
Vauxhall Monterey
wow......
our usa book lists it as trooper only.
so ...

just B or B then A off? if you had b off, you'd see what?, a big nut.
that is locked to spindle shaft.
ill guess? wheel bearings are bad? (just in hub not spindle bearings bad... no matter this is first.)
so you do what. ? here are the steps.

that part"B" must be off first, see the bolts holding it, ?
B = auto locking hubs. or hub axle lockers.
26005769-b5pjo3cin0lhc1b54v4xlnuy-4-0.jpg you can see the caliber must come off, so, do so and tie them up.
  1. "Place the Transfer shift in the 2H position.
  2. Raise and support the front of the vehicle safely on jackstands. (rear tires chocked, and hand brake set hard)
  3. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
  4. Loosen the hub to rotor retainer bolts.
  5. Remove the brake caliper mounting bolts and carefully remove the caliper (along with the brake pads) from the rotor. Do not disconnect the brake line. Secure the caliper out of the way with the flexible line still connected.
  6. Remove the hub nut using hub wrench J-29020-A or equivalent. ( special tool)
  7. Remove the hub cap assembly retainer bolts. Remove the spindle nut, washers, and other components. Remove the hub/rotor, being careful not to drop the outer wheel bearings. As the hub/rotor is pulled forward, the outer wheel bearings will often fall forward.
  8. Once the hub/rotor is removed, remove the retainer bolts securing the rotor and hub together. Inspect the hub and replace if needed."
  9. end removal. install is next... (alldata.com covers this)

How can i replace my r/front axle c.v boot on my 2001 isuzu trooper 4X4

this is a realy big job you need to strip out the 4 wheel drive hub just to get to the wheel bearings,,, not some thing for the novest to even try to do,,,best thing is to get a book on it first, after you have striped out the 4 wheel drive hub and took off the wheel bearings and disk (rotor) you still need to push the drive shaft through the hub and thats very hard as well, and you got to pop off top and bottom swivels,,,and finaly you can get to the rubber boot,,,,,all £3.50 of it!!!! but £250 just to get to it? try sticking a push bike patch over the split,,,its far easer and quicker

Change a cv boot on a 1996 isuzu trooper

First their are two different front axles in 1996 troopers. Isuzu changed the 4wd system from auto lock hubs to drive control axle.auto lock hube are on the older trooper's with the light and wiper switches on the dash. The same way to change both. Auto hub remove the six hex. screws slide off the hub remove the sirclip from the driveshaft. Newer hub has 6 alan-head screw's again remove them then the hubcap then the sirclip on the shaft and slide off the round spacer. Next 4 bolts from the lower balljoint and the brake's. Pull out the hub until it clear's the shaft remove the inner boot clips slide the inner boot out the shaft. Clean the grease from the end of the axle then with your fingernail feel along any of the 3 tracks in the axle and near the outer end of the track you will find a wirelike split ring slide a screwdriver under the ring and lever it off . Pull out the drive clean off the grease. You will see a sirclip on the end of the joint remove it and slide off the joint. You can replace either boot from that end. The outer joint is held on with a snap ring on the shaft inside the joint and is not easily removed need a hammer and drift to drive off the end and when removed its hard to get the snap ring on the shaft back into its place. You can change both boots from this end as well. Cheers

How do you replace front rotors for 1997 Isuzu Trooper

you will have to pull the calipers and everything off in order to get to them. remove center cap on rotor and remove center nut, pull out bearings. rotor bolts onto hub possibly with 14mm bolts and nuts take these loose and rotor should seperate from hub.

Replacing the front brake rotors

They have holes in that sit on your wheel studs. The wheels are the main restraint for the rotor with secondary restraint from you brake caliper.

Problems with my auto hubs on isuzu trooper f reg

I replaced the autohubs on my 90 trooper with a set from Warn. $180 and 2 hours. You might want to check the U-joints on the output shaft for the Front Diff. they can make lots of noise when they go bad.

Rotors

yes you have to take he hubs off.if its 2wd its not that hard ,just knock off the dust cap in center of hub, losen nut and it should slip off.oh yeah you also have to take the caliper &bracket off.if its 4wd its the same concept but just a little more aggrivating b/c of the axle shaft.
