Can you confirm your getting fuel? The fuel pump could be dead. Most any more are electric and in side the gas tank. Some you can hear humming when you first turn your car key on. Some also have a circuit safety breaker in the truck and a fuse. Any of which would cause it to not start. I don't know anything about Volvo but you might be able to discount the fuel line, hold your thumb over the end and have a friend quickly turn the key on and off. You should feel pressure on the line if the pump is working. Use lots of caution when dealing with gas. Its also possible the fuel filter is clogged. You also need to confirm your electrical system is providing spark to the plugs. Remove one plug and lay it against metal value cover. Turn the engine over for a sec and watch for spark. Just a very short sec hopefully should be enough to see a spark. If nothing then the problem is electrical.

Car won't start. The starter is new, but it sounds like it is spinning free of the flywheel.

do you have 50K miles or more? and your saying it turns over(non firing) faster than normal. Then you timing belt may have snapped.

Car won't turn over randomly

When it will not crank, a mechanic would check for voltage at the starter, the clutch safety switch, and the key switch.

Everytime I fuel my car it won't start, after waiting about 20 minutes it will start what is wrong? 2007 Suzuki xL7 100,000 miles

You have several issues. The not starting after fill up is an evaporative emissions issue. See the post below. The starter continuing to crank the engine after you release the key is a stuck starter drive

1998 Montero Sport 4x4 V6 transmission with 205,000 miles doesn't shift. Just changed the tranny filter and fluid and it still doesn't shift.

I have never seen a trans with 205,000 miles on it,
& I once owned a trans repair shop

So pull it out & have it rebuilt

Fluid is changed to replace it's ability to
remove heat, no other reason
