I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. Abs and Brake light on at the same time. Odometer stopped working along with all power controls. ie. windows, turn signals, radio (which was installed after the manufactured date of the vehicle) My brakes work fine and the vechile rides fine. Sometimes, when I turn it off and start it again everything is fine. But when these problems are present and I drive with the lights on, when I shift from park to drive or drive to park, it will make a weird "CURRRRRRR" sound. Any ideas? Thanks Sheena

SOURCE: 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee - problem with power windows/locks

This seems to be the affects of a bad dinamo charging your battery . If you take a appart the dinamo you should fine a part called in mechanic terms "the bones" they look like 2 black magnets with a wire coming out of them . They are not expencive and you should not change your dinamo untill you try this first a car dinamo is very expencive .

SOURCE: the tail lights are out, so the brake lights-Jeep Grand Cherokee

i have a 2002 jeep grand cherokee i had the same problem when i would apply my brakes when the headlights were on my brake lights would go out, i found that my bulbsocket was not making good contact with the socket housing, if you notice when you take off a bulb, look at the light fixture where you unscrewed your breaklight bulb you will notice 3 medal contacts-they should be silver in the socket housing and like a copper on the socket bulb, in the socket housing their should be 2 silver contacts together and 1 by itself the one that looks by itself is making bad contact with the copper one thats by itself on the bulb, what you can do for a quick fix is; get a small piece of low cage wire or a thin piece of metal like copper stick that in to the bottom or top of that metal contact--i did it through the bottom leave the wire or piece of medal sticking out enough for where it can get contact with the bulb (just a little wire is enough to make contact, now screw the bulb on and test it---it will work----i did it to mine, if you need more assistance let me know [email protected]

SOURCE: 1999 jeep grand cherokee - brake lights and turn

The tail lights and the brake/turn lights use the same bulb but, there is 2 filamants in the bulb. One for tail lights and one for brake/turn lights. So just because the brake lights and turn signals work doesn't mean the bulbs are good. If bulbs are good you can check to see if there is power getting to the tail light assy's by unplugging the connector at the assy and using a test light probe the connector (harness side) with the headlights on. If you are getting power to the assy the test light will light. To make sure, turn off the headlights and test light will go off. Hope this is helpful. Good luck.

2000 jeep grand cherokee laredo odometer turns off check gauges light, brake light, abs light, turn on and the motor stays running

My guess would be a short or bad connection inside the cluster. Some Chrysler products have problems with connections between the dash and body computer.

I have a 2001 jeep grand cherokee laredo. today while i was checking out the anti freeze i notice the abs light came. the suv was running but was not moving. i dove the suv around after the light came and...

You probably have a bad wheel sensor. With the ABS light on the computer is detecting a malfunction in that system somewhere. Its usually caused by a faulty acuator pump or wheel sensor. This won't affect your brakes neccesarilly, however, with the ABS light on it means your anti-lock brake system is not functioning. This means if you hit your brakes too hard it will allow your wheels to lock up.

Where do i find a fuse box diagram for a 1994 Grand Cherokee Laredo?

There are 2 fuse blocks. The Power Distribution Center is under the hood along the passenger side fender and has fuses and relays in it. The other is on the passenger side of the dash and has fuses and circuit breakers.
