I have a 2007 Ford Escape, it has 100,755 miles on it and this morning the cruise control stopped working. I am just outside of my warranty and would like to have an idea of where to start first in fixing this issue. Thank

Not certain if this will help. The 1st supplied diagram lists the fuse in the box within the passenger cabin. As you can see, none are listed for a cruise control module. The 2nd supplied from automotorpad.com in the Ford Cruise Control Module #4 diagram, has an arrow pointed to a Fuse Holder but I see no identifier on the page for the year of the vehicle. Then there is an unsettling article from ItStillRuns. https://fuse-box.info/ford/ford-escape-2001-2004-fuses-and-relay
I believe the cruise control cannot be changed. You will need to set it by watching the speedometer or memorizing the conversion from KM. It is annoying that Ford would do this.
There isn't one. The cruise control is a module/computer which is controlled by the ECM. This one has to go on a scanner to see what's wrong. Code readers don't read the cruise.
Before over thinking this have you checked under the hood to verify the cable is still connected. you will have to remove the engine cover (8mm socket). On top of the engine should be two cables that run to your throttle. Over time the cruise control cable snaps can fail and the cable will come loose. A cheap simple fix is cable ties if this keeps happening.
If the cruise lamp comes on and the cruise does not set i would advise inspecting the cruise cable and make certain it is not broken, if ok the the servo has likely failed.
ok, there are two issues. one could be a fuse that you can exchange out with a working one. secondly, this could be a sensor that is connected to the cruise control assembly under the hood. i would pop the hood to see if the cruse control assembly has became stuck or the cable may have been severed as well.
