The 4L60E wasnt introduced until 97. The 92 is one of those years where GM did change somethings midyear. But as it turns out the tranni's are the same. At the adapter (tranni to transfer case) there are four or six bolts on the tranni tail housing. Fortunately both of mine have four. The 4L60E wasnt introduced until 97. The Chevy V6 is compatible with essentially every transmission, manual or automatic, as the Small Block V8.
Note that the 4.3 V6 is typically found with a 168 tooth flywheel (11" clutch disc) behind it instead of the more-common 153 tooth (10.5" clutch disc). This is done for clutch engagement, but moreso for the weight and resulting torque provided. Therefore, the V6 requires the "big clutch" bellhousing which gives the clearance needed for the larger flywheel. The V6 has the same crank flange as the V8's, so caution should be taken when swapping flywheels around from the V8 to the V6.
Well the most common swaps are putting in Small block ford's and Chevy's. The one I see mostly is the 5.0 Mustang motor swap. There are numerous kits for motor mounts and relocation brackets that make it a fairly straight forward swap. Do a little research and you will start seeing quite a few results that will answer your questions on How to's and so forth.
if you have the push button style try changing the switch (buttons). i've seen this happen before to my truck.you can get them cheep at any local junk yard
behind the glove box there is a fuse, was told this by a person i asked on KIJIJI.CA so I could not find the fuse yet I ran a hot wire from the batt to the big orange wireon the head unit this solved the problem so now its my mission to find the fuse , and its all good now
Other than modifying the oil pan I can't see any major reason. You'll have to play with sensors and switches some. Check out faxonautoliterature, they list a couple manuals on swapping GM engines into almost any other GM for $24.95. Would probably be a BIG help. Hope this helps.
