The thermostat is on passenger side right center of engine .Stand at passenger side with hood open look down and over at center and toward the right at the intake manifold...it is hard to see without removing engine components....Follow upper radiator hose from radiator to the intake where the other end of hose connects and that is where the thermostat is.....Be sure engine is not running and cool to the touch for safety reasons while looking........SAFETY FIRST
Hope this will help you......................................................Metalpoet

How do you replace thermostat for 1994 cutlass ciera

The thermostat is normally located in the aluminium elbow that the top radiator hose connects to. The elbow is usually held down by two bolts and it is only necessary to remove these to replace the thermostat. It may not be necessary to remove any hoses. Take care that the new thermostat is correctly located in its recess and the old gasketing has been completely removed and that the new gasket has a smear of gasket cement on it. While tightening the bolts, make sure that the elbow is seating evenly and not catching on the edge of the thermostat or you could crack the elbow.

Where are the starter bolts located? 1994 Olds Ciera S w/v6

Should be between the radiator and engine, underneath the car. There might be a plastic cover held on with 10mm bolts. The starter bolts go up thru the starter, into the block.

Just follow the top rad hose to the engine. It will end up at the thermostat housing. The thermostat is under the thing the upper rad hose goes to and once you have drained down the radiator some then just unbolt it and put in ther new thermostat[with a new gasket of course after you scrapped all the old gasket off].

'95 cutlass ciera, Mating the trans and engine?

Hi
Fit the torque convertor to the gearbox first, make sure it locates fully with the pump drive on the g/box(the round section that's got two flat sections) in the centre of the bellhousing. Make sure the convertor does not slip out when mating engine and g/box, when mated there should not be any gap between engine and g/box(transmision) without any bolts tightened, secure transmision to engine then only replace the bolts that holds the torque convertor to the flexplate.

Phillip
