Hook up battery backwards now can't start did I blow a fuse

Could not find a main fuse in the diagrams I looked at. I would take a test light and go through the underhood fuse blocks and see if they are blown.

I reversed with my renault scenic 1.6 2005 model and it just gave one shake and switched of and doesnt want to start.shows on dash electronic fault

Disconnect and reconnect battery. You probably did this. Test the battery to see if it is still hot- strong battery. Now start checking all your main fuses. These are usually 40 amps. You can visually look at them. Often the main fuse which is often 100 amps will blow. If every fuse is good you may have damaged wiring or computer. Do a visual inspection of wiring especially around battery and fuse box. Good luck

Need to know where the under dash fuse box gets it's power for a 1998 honda civic cx

All fuses get their power from the battery. The under dash fuse box is no exception.
In the under-HOOD fuse and relay box, there will be a 'Master' fuse that sends power to the other components. This will be a 50 or 75 Amp fuse. Check every fuse you see in that under-HOOD box, and one of the mains is probably out.
You'll need to find out why it blew, because there is definitely a reason when the big ones blow. It's a major short circuit.
Did you replace a starter, or alternator, or battery before the problem bagan?

Charging system alt does not chareg in truck. Bench tested O.K.

Measure the voltage at the big wire on the altenator engine off, do you have power? Check in your distribution box under hood, find the two rows of fuses located inside the box on the outer edge, look at the outside row from front to rear the 4th fuse (# 11/ 20 AMP fuse), is for the altenator field, make sure this fuse is not blown, if it is good and you have battery power on the big wire at the altenator, then replace the altenator. Hope this helps, let me know.

Altenator is not charging the battery

sir , the altenator has 3 wires at the connector correct ? a white/red , a green/white and a black , the white/red wire is involved with a 10 amp fuse to do with the charging meter / gauge , the fuse located behind left side of dash .. the green/white wire is is involved with 2 fuses , a 10 amp ECU fuse and a 25 amp Main fuse located at left rear of engine compartment main box , and the black wire is involved with a main 80 amp fuse at the main box also . both of these 2 wires end up at the positive side of the battery , please verify all these fuses are good . if they are indeed good , then open wiring would be next step verify continuity on black and the white/green wires . i would post a link to diagram but autozone repair info site is down at this time . if ya need more help , please ask .
