Oil/water out of block breather

Sounds like it could be a blown head gasket or a cracked water jacket I would advise draining oil and watching for signs of water in the oil secondly if you find no signs of oil in the water erase sale and out of pressure pump to the system if the problem can says if the problem continues as a temporary fix you can run a bottle of copper block sealer through engine remember though that it's only a temporary fix

Engine mixing water and oil in the sump. took the cylinder head and engine block for pressure test. but still mixing what could be wrong. The above was returned as not cracked.

hi there.
Water in the engine - Water can get into your oil sump in two ways: ... Water in the oil- Coolant leak due to non-watertight seal (cylinder head gasket, etc.). If this happens, there is a leak and water is getting into the oil.
Water in engine oil
If you found water in oil car , this water engine car section is for you!
Water in car engine? Water should never be allowed to get into the oil in your engine or gearbox. Otherwise, it will result in significant foaming, dramatically reducing the product's lubrication properties.
Water in the engine - Water can get into your oil sump in two ways:
  • Water in car - Water condensation in cold air or combustion gases: this phenomenon is extremely rare and only occurs at specific temperatures.
  • Water in the oil - Coolant leak due to non-watertight seal (cylinder head gasket, etc.). If this happens, there is a leak and water is getting into the oil.

Water get into oil

Water in oil makes the oil go grey / milky or white . Check the cooling system by a pressure test and if it is holding then it will not be water in the oil.. If you are referring to transmission oil then the tan colour indicates burnt oil, and must be replaced. Water in that oil will also be a white cherry/ milky colour.

Refrase 1996 hyundai excel ,oil in water no water in sump oil.

Oil in the water is usually a sign of a head gasket leak, because the high pressure oil passes through to the head in order to lubricate the camshaft.
The oil return passages also go through the head gasket, but are too low pressure to usually cause any problem.
As long as there is no water in the oil or loss of water, I would keep driving it.
The oil in the water will not hurt anything. If it eventually gets worse and leaks water, then you will have to do the head gasket. Costs about $500.
Of you can do it yourself for about $75 if you know how to use a torque wrench.

I have oil in my water resivior and its overflowing with oil.

Sounds like you have a leak that may be due to a bad seal,a bad gasket or a cracked head. When the engine is running. Oil pressure is higher than water pressure. But when the engine is shut off oil pressure goes to zero but water pressure is still at 15 psi. untill the engine cools off. that's when you get water and oil to mix. If you do an oil change you could find water in the oil pan. Doing a water pressure test will verify a leak but won't tell you where.

1993 camaro V6 3.4 lt water and oil mixing could it be water pump

Yes there is another way, someone can be messing with your head and pouring water in your oil cap. Do have water in your oil or oil in your water or both? A product called sea foam does a miraculous job at getting water out of oil. As far as keeping it from happening further, the cheap way of course is "bar's stop leak" but man can this stuff do a number on clogging your heater core, even if they say it doesn't, it can happen.

Had water pump changed on 2003 Highline Jetta 1 month ago. Oil cooler had to be replaced 1 month later. Oil landed up in water - oil totally empty. Temperature gauze said "Check coolant". Muddy consistency...

sorry to be the messenger of bad news but from the symptoms described it sounds like the head gasket ,the oil feed to the camshaft to be more precise ,its forcing oil into the water circuit but the water is not getting into the oil because its at a lower pressure .
