Look under the dash below the instrament cluster.where the relays are there is a small metal box about 1 inch wide with a green label.that is the fuse for your windows.replace with dealer part only.
if that does not solve your problem check the ground wire from the drivers door to the kick panel ,

My Volkswagen Jetta won't start after disconnecting and re connecting the battery

The first link says you can disconnect the battery cables and touch the Pos and Neg leads together to discharge any stored charge in the system. I don't think that is good, it works on some cars and other cars it can short out electrical components. I think it is better to disconnect the battery and turn the key on and let it sit for more than 1 hour to reset the immobilizer. Just my thought.

My Volkswagen Jetta won't start after disconnecting and re connecting the battery.

Anti-Theft security system reset

Use Your remote key FOB and press the unlock button. Unlock the driver's side door using the key and switch the ignition to the ON position, but don't start the vehicle. If it's still triggered, roll up all the windows and exit the vehicle, then lock the driver's door with the key.

None of the power windows work.No local or master controls work.

start by checking fuses, then relays. if the main switch goes on driver's door goes out then none of them will work.... i would recommend a new switch not a used one.
