2002 Camry - strange sound from engine sounds like a burp

Try spraying the Dimmer Wheel with electrical contact cleaner. On my Lexus ES330 (Camry) it is to the left of the steering wheel. It is basically a variable resistance wire wound rheostat.

check your battery cables and make sure they are clean and tight. Follow the positive (red) cable down to the starter and make sure its tight.

It could be the hub bearing. Once the car is on the ground, the weight puts more load on the wheels. See if the noise changes when driving while turning the steering wheel

check for failed wheel bearings or loose wheel on studs. Check suspension ball joints and steering joints the problem is serious so have the front inspected by a competent mechanic

Sounds like something broke inside the box. Take it to a transmission repairer.

A light knock at the top of the engine, or ticking, is the valve gear. This is not a worry if it eases when the engine is hot.
A heavier knock down lower indicates trouble with the engine bearings, and this will usually get louder as the engine becomes hot.
These problems have arisen in Camrys due to engine oil sludging. This starves the bearings of oil and they wear quickly. Toyota says it affects engines up to a 2001 build, but I have heard of 2002 engines being affected as well. Toyota insists it is due to owner neglect, but they have taken it on in limited circumstances:

A light rattling sound when the engine is under load indicates you should try a fuel with higher octane rating, although this would be unusual in your model unless you are using a fuel with high ethanol.

its the drive belt tensioner dampner it goes bad and sounds like a bad engine vibration when accel and on cold start up

could be engine mount,axel shafts

sounds like bad wheel bearing, lift cars front wheels set parking brake, put car in drive, listen to each wheel to find bad baering good luck.

1.check your water pump

2.check if the engine oil light is offing in time or not,it is like the engiine oil is not being lifted in time by the oil pump,

3. what should do if is number 1 u have change the water pump and if it is number 2 then change the oil fillter drain the engine oil and replace with new one but this time around add oil treatment oil to the engine oil u change if it is sea 40
