What do I need to do if the air suspension in my 2006 Buick Rainier will not stay aired up? When left overnight, the back end is all the way down... and there is NO LOAD in the cargo area! Every time I stop at a light, I can hear it pumping back up. At one point, when we were experiencing below zero windchills for several days in a row, it completely froze while down and it rode like a covered wagon. It finally pumped back up when the temps got above freezing.

Check to make sure te leveling switches by each wheel are working properly. There is a small link from each control arm that connects to the switch. These may be out of adjustment or broken. Also check all your air hose connections, it is most likely a bad O-ring or cracked fitting.

SOURCE: What do I need to

the rubber on the suspension that inflates is worn. it may have some dry rot. you can replace them but it will cost you a lot plus your pump is working overtime and that will wear out and add to the cost of repair. You can get a conversion kit where coil springs are installed and it will be a lot cheaper

How do you reset the air suspension on a buick rainier

Nothing to reset. If the compressor won't come on it's probably gone. If you ever drive your car in high water you have submerged it. They aren't cheap. Around 600.00 for parts. Labor is extra.

Can you drive a buick rainier with the rear air suspension broken

You can but will cause damage to rest of suspension, possibly floor pan and may even damage wheel. Generally not a good idea to drive with broken suspension.

Air suspension bleeds down over nite compresser quit running

The leak is probably in the air bags or a supply line. The pump probably burned out trying to keep the system supplied. You're lucky it didn't run your battery down.

Air suspension

If they air up and sag again after time or overnight, the bags have a leak. Mine did the same thing. When you're driving it usually wasn't an issue because the compressor is live and kicks on as needed. Replaced the air shocks, under $200 for parts. I bought mine at Advance, online for somewhere around $180 I believe. Only about an hour job.

Air suspension bleeds down over nite intermitten

Not a mechanic, but had the same issue, replaced the air suspension with traditional coils and shocks, total cost about $150 did it myself, really very easy. No more issues and it rides better! Will take you about an hour and a half, tricky getting the axel to drop down low enough to insert the spring, utilize a small pump jack between the axel and frame, hope this helps.
