Sounds like it needs a new steering stabilzer. It is like a shock absorber for the steering linkage.

People always go for the steering dampner first but this only hides the problem! i would check the bushes on the panhard before you do anything else, both my TJ and my XJ had this problem it is common with Jeep as well as the infamous rear main seal leak on the transfer case.

Definately check the panhard first.

My 1989 Chevey Celebrity started shaking the other day the front part of the car, not like the front end is messed up but it shakes.

Could be a wheel, tire, or axle shaft.
You could rotate the tires front to back and see if the vibration moves.
If it does the problem is one of the tires or wheels.
If it stays in the front, its probably one of the axle shafts. It could also be a hub bearing or something loose in the suspension. But a loose suspension part would normally show up when you hit a bump rather than on a smooth road.

I have a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. There is a "violent" vibration that occurs only when you are going 40-60 MPH and you hit a bump or pot hole on the highway. The front end begins to...

Vibration from about 40-60 mph is usually attributed to wheel balancing, but the onset when you hit a bump seems to indicate play in the steering linkages (tie rods etc) or suspension members and stabiliser bar rubbers but you had that all checked out, that brings us back to the wheel balancing.

If i hit a small bump at 50 mph, front ends shakes so bad,I have to stop truck \r\nalso lots of play in steering

My friend, you have very serious wear in the front end of your vehicle as evidenced by the severe vibration when you hit a bump. The front end steering equipment in your Jeep is very complex requiring special tools and expertise to properly repair. Please get your 1995 Jeep looked at soon by a front end alignment specialty shop in your area. This is a very dangerous condition.

Vehicle violently vibrates when hitting a small bump or hole at times. Trying to slow down the car only makes it worse during these episodes and steering is very difficult. What can cause this

Check out the 'front end' at a garage to do a thorough shake down of components such as springs, tie rod ends, ball joints, shock absorbers, steering rods, bearings, etc.

I have a 1997 Grand Cherokee Laredo. I get vibration in the front suspension while driving at 60 MPH or hit a bump in the road. I need to slow down to stop the vibration of shaking. Has anyone had this...

you are getting an oscillation .you need to put the front tires on the back and try it again as it could be bad tires.
if it is still the same, put the vehicle on a hoist and check the tire/rim play side to side and up and down.
turn the wheel and check for bearing noise.
common things are wheel balancing, tires, tie rod ends, worn axles and bearings.
