I have a 1991 nissan sentra 1.6 l 2 door automatic it will start sometimes and sometimes it wont like started one morning just fine my son drove it to school went to start it after school woudnt start only after jumping it would it would it run when it runs it runs great any suggestions thank you

That vehicle has contacts in the starter that can be replaced - when those contacts get worn they will work sometimes and sometimes they wont - eventually they will not work at all unless the starter is replaced or the contacts are replaced - hope this helps :O)

I HAVE A 91 NISSAN SENTRA WITH A 1.6 L IT WOULDNT START SO I REPLACED THE BATTERY AND STARTER. IT STARTED A COUPLE OF TIMES AND NOW IT WONT START AT ALL AND IT CLICKS WHEN I TRY.
The new starter could have been faulty as well. You can take back and try a new one.

the next thing to try is start it in nuetral see if it helps it has a nuetral safety switch that wont let it start in drive or reverse if its bad sometimes they start in nuetral good luck
