Remove the 2 screws that are located just above the steering column and one screw thats located next to cigarette lighter. you have to shift into N and remove the little slide out thing for your trash and change.

My radio all of a sudden blacked out. I changed the audio fuse under the hood, even though it wasn't blown.

Get a stock radio from eBay or Amazon. A used stock factory radio. Do not "upgrade"... no matter what.

2009 suzuki swift radio and clock not working changed fuse but ok still not working

can only be 2 things
lost power to radio (bad fuse, or bad radio ground)
radio dead. (time to upgrade?)
if not a stock suzuki radio, it can also be the hacked wiring
bad from installing that aftermarket radio ,

CD HOLDER STUCK

dash radio,
stock radio
is it the single deck model or the multi deck option/
photos work best, for all that.
if that is the only failure, (radio works)
then the cd is jammed, can be cause by many things.
broken CD
parts of previous cd broken parts inside jamming it
or its far worse.
it will need to be dismantled, to fix it.
unlike computers, there is no tiny hole there for paper clip to eject it , emerg. mode)
so repair on the old one, labor and parts would exceed cost of upgrade, why not go CD free, use memory stick, with your CDs ripped to MP3, files, and move on,....
the last CDs will be sold in walmart.
and the isle keeps shrinking and soon to be like VHS videos, a memory.

My radio works on my 2004 jeep grand Cherokee but the time and station don't light up do I need to replace the radio

any thing can be fixed.! (my job that, before retired)
the question (only) is time and money?
if the labor is more than a new upgraded radio.
why fix old.?
is the dash dimmer working, and all other lights on dash bright
the the radio has issues. (stock) if not stock the wires are bad behind radio. the dial wire.
does the radio work? and dial right, can you see the stations, with a flash light, ? then the back light is burned out.
if VFD display or LCD dead , big time $$$ fix.

on mine , 04 i put a new , media only head end.
am/fm , USB , flashcard, aux in, radio
and have micro usb there, very tiny with 4000 songs.
no more discs and radio head is very tiny.

How do I remove an after stock radio from a 1996 Ford F 350 disel pick up?

Almost all aftermarket radios come out through the front. The radios come with two pieces of, best described, about 6 inch long pieces of flat metal about a half inch heigh. After removing the face plate one piece is pushed in on each side. This pushes the clip that holds the radio aside and you can pull the radio out of its housing forward and out. If you can get under the dash unhook and wiring to the radio first, and don't forget the antenna. Instead of the factory tool you may be able to use two flat dinner knives.

still a stock radio? ????
why?, upgrade, yes, if yes, you need a can-bus adaptor
and if NO, you need to get the radio code first.or the radio bricks.
alldata.com

see radio page. and Airbag protection warnings. read it.

if not up for $15 bucks,
there is u-tube.

this ends at 2007 but you can search in utube like me.
and the only tricks are:
1: getting the bezel off,
2: and some radios have locking keys. (RTM)

After getting my batterry replaced on my 2003 ford explorer sport my radio will not power on? any suggestions

I would start by checking the fuse. If it is good, you may have to pull the unit. Is it a stock unit or aftermarket upgrade? Alot of time the aftermarket radios have there own power wire and the person who replaced the battery may have left off the power wire under the hood. Hope this helps
