I went to start my car today and pushed the clutch in and it went straight to the floor on my 06 chevy cobalt ls. Can you help?

Check the clutch fluid. Sounds like you have a leak. It might be a bad slave cylinder.

Check the fluid for the clutch. It has a small master cylinder next to the brake master cylinder. It should use brake fluid. If it is low, top it off. If it goes low again, you'll need to investigate where it's leaking from. You could have a leaking master or slave cylinder.

Out of fluid.on fire wall by brake master cylinder there is a little resovoir.uses brake fluid.may need to bleed slave cylinder on side of transmission.must have leeak if empty.check where resovoir mount fire wall.check under rubber boot on slave(trans)cylinder.

06 Cobalt sounds like leaves are in vent when I turn AC/HV fan on. Best way to locate problem.

Slave cylinder is what compresses the clutch, the black plastic piece your talking about should pass throughout the firewall and actuate the clutch master cylinder.
