My '91 Toyota Camry is suddenly decelerating when on the freeway. [My car doesn't die....but I have to pull over for a few minutes and the car is just fine to drive again]. At first I thought it was my floormat effecting the brake and causing it to SLOW DOWN..but it wasn't. Some people say it may be the Fuel Injection (should I just buy some fuel injection cleaner for gas tank?), some say it's the Transmission (should I drain & refill?), others say its the Spark Plugs (should I get a Tune Up?). For most, this is a mystery.

Are you going at a STEADY rate of speed when your car starts to loose power ? Or do you loose power if you speed up or try to pass ?

I would start with a new fuel filter, all indications by what you're describing sounds like a fuel filter. Try that first. Then if it hasn't been tuned in awhile - that would be a good idea too.

Car dies on freeway.Never overheated!!! What could it be.I'm guessing the fuel pump

Hopefully you don"t need gas first in the tank. While driving did your motor seem to ruff suddenly and as you went slower to a stop did you pull over and turn car off? When you turned it on again did it start up really ruff without giving gas.Can be that you need a fuel injector replaced you can not clean it because it also works electronic.Toyota runs better on higher octane period.

Changed battery in 2002 camry and now it hesitates and dies when idling

drive it for a week or so the problem should correct itself, but if it doesn't do this procedure to clean the intake and idle motor.
Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.
