Replacing dashboard lights on an 2000 Oldsmobile Silhouette Van?

Do you know how to replace the dashboard lights in an Olds. Silhouette Van. It is the Tachometer light.

The light bulbs are not replacable unless you can solder, you have to replace the complete instrument cluster, get one from a junk yard 100 bucks.

This will take some time but is fairly easy. you have to remove the dash pieces on that side. then this will allow you access to the instrument cluster. becareful not to wear clothing that will give off a static discharge this could short out the cluster board. the bulbs are tiny so be careful while rep-lacing them. the bulbs can be purchased at a local store the bulbs are a 194 or a 1893 in most cases.

After making an adjustment on the radio of my 2002 Olds Silhouette the radio lights went out along with the dashboard panel lights. Later, when I opened and then closed the glove box, they came back on...

short somewhere. when fuse blows it blows....hope this helps and good luck.

Had the same problem - 1st gear worn out. You'll need a ****** rebuild.
Was told its not unusual for that GM trans.

You did not mention replacing the thermostat. That's the first thing to do. May I ask what prompted you to replace the intake gasket and radiator? Was this due to a previous overheating problem? MOre information will be helpful. Thanks.

I need to replace a coil pack on my 2000 Olds Silhouette. I know I have to rotate the engine. But am unsure on how to do it correctly.

you do not have to rotate the engine to change the coil packs. just turn the van off and unplug the coil pack un bolt it and pull the spark plug wires off

Silhouette load levelling compressor keeps coming on

you can pull the fuses, but it is hard wired so it might have relays that need to be pulled, or you can just fix it, and replace the air shocks/struts with regular shocks/struts
