Is your cam built in the distributor? The 96 is. If not, try that. If so, you probably need to test your wires. What all have you tried so far? Are you getting any codes? What size engine?

No spark from distibuter engine turns over but wont start changed coil and modual distibuter cap and router

Hello there:
You may want ro remove the crankshaft and camshaft sensor and use a multimeter and set it to the lowest ohms setting and then touch the two ends of the meter on the pins of the sensor you are testing and see what reading you have it should read 0 then have somebody wave their hand rapidly in front of it and you should read a fairly high reading if not it is faulty and should be replaced i had the same thing happen to mine and it was my camshaft sensor and the wiring was bad too so may want to check it really close ok
Best regards Mike

Okay i just replaced the distibuter cap in my maxima. i have now got spark from the coil but no spark otherwise. i have tested it and thats how i know im only getting spark from the coil

If your getting spark from the coil and none to the plugs. Then its either the wires or plugs. I'm curious .... what are you using to test for spark at the coil?

I have a v6 ford probe i have no spark,i replace ingition,distibuter,rotor cap,rotor,but no spark.

Sounds like crank sensor.

The crank sensor sends a pulse to the ECU, with this information the ECU then controls the spark timing, therefore if the crank sensor is faulty you won't get a spark.
