2006 Avalon Limited with 40,500 miles. Like new. Seatbelt was closed in the driver side door and batter was drained. I charged the battery and everything seemed ok. The following fault codes are now displayed: P0441, 0445 and 0456. Dealership says the charcoal canister needs to be replaced. Is it normal for the VSC light to show when the check engine light is on? I understand that the fuel line leak can be as simple as a loose cap or the canister may need to be replaced. My main concern is the VSC light. Help.

The controller that directs the flow of air to various vents has an issue - it may have to be replaced.

You will be needing to take the whole door panel apart and to see why the noise.
It would be well to do this before the window stops working, as it could happen at a most inopportune time, like during a storm.
You will be needing a really good light, and maybe a hand mirror to see inside the door after you have removed the inner door panel

There should be a mechanism in the door jamb near-to the seatbelt. If equipped, push on it while jerking seatbelt until it retracts. If not equipped, close door firmly while jerking seatbelt to activate retract.

Just had this problem. the altenator charges the passenger side battery. The computer reads off the drivers side battery. So if there is a bad connection. between the two the drivers side battery tells the altenator it needs to be charged. There for it over charges the passenger side battery. There was corrosion on the positive lines coming in to the terminal on the drivers side. I cleaned all the terminals and lines and the problem was solved.

try going to passenger door window switch and reset it by going down and holding for extra 3to5 seconds after window is down, do same to go up, then try doing it with master switch don forget to hold it longer, this is a reset also used on Scion vehicles, hope it helps.

It sounds like your battery is not charging. You may have a good battery and a good alternator but what you need to look for is the alternator fuse . It is usually a square block style fuse , 50 to 80 amps, normally in a fuse box under the dash. If it blows the car will drive till it runs out of battery juice and go bonkers just like you describe right before it dies. The charge light on the dash usually will not warn you of the problem. I think the manufacturers just want to charge you big dollars just to replace a fuse most people are not familiar with.

the sliding door is probablly draining the battery,, have door checked.. make sure tracks are clean and hinges are not binding

Does The car shut off mid drive? Could be a Wiring harness problem,
I think it's you're alternator though, That would be a good reason you're battery is dieing,
