I checked a couple of spec sheets and it looks like there may have been an option for a remote trunk release but it was not standard equipment. If your car had the option it was probably near the driver seat and door.

as long as spark is getting to cylinders, fuel would be the next step to take. make sure it is getting fuel and not starving for fuel.

if it is a 2,4 dual over cam enginge it is the coil pack shorting out and it needs replaced

Idle in park: 800-1100RPM is acceptable.
In drive: about 700RPM
Your idle speed is actually controlled by the idle air control motor also called the IAC. There isn't any idle adjustment you can manually set as the motor is fuel injected and EEC controls air and fuel mixture at idle.

It's not a fuse, It is the internal wiring, the wiring from your dome light to your wiring harness is bad.. have you recently put in an aftermarket CD player?

that is your tensioner pully and it very well may be going bad new one isnt very expensive and can be easily removed with a socket wrench and replaced please be sure to make a diagram of the serpentine belt before you remove so that you will rember how it goes back on
