There could be many things that can leak from back of engine such as manifold gasket, head gasket, heater hoses you need to pin point where leak is.

If it is antifreeze could be a head gasket, cracked head, leaking heater hose.
If it is water then your rain drainage around the wiper linkage is plugged up.
If it is washer fluid you have a break in the washer fluid line.

Leaking water from the back of the engine . it comes out of the bell housing of transmission. where is it coming from and how do i fix it????

Water is leaking from the engine block rear freeze plugs, transmission will have to be remove to replace freeze plugs, there's two, I would also have the rear main seal replace at the same time, there there already, or if it starts to leak later, you will have to have the transmission remove again to replace seal, hope this was very helpful.

My mb100 van 1997 model has water leak at the back rear engine.the radiator is ok and the water pump.is there a water hose or port at the rear side of the engine?what and where is the cause? thanks, ermee

You may have a leaking core or welsh plug. This is a large disk which is used to block off the holes left behind by the casting process during manufacture. They are easy to replace but difficult to access.. It may also be a leaking hose or even a cylinder head gasket but I would suspect a welsh plug first. Take the vehicle to your local garage and get them to pressure test the cooling system, this will show up the leak a lot easier..

Its leaking coolent dnt know where from

Is it leaking hot and cold or just when hot.
Is it coming from Back/Front /or Either side of engine.get a torch and a mirror and have a look under the manifolds to see if its a (core plug) or as you call them a freezer plug leaking also there is 1 at the rear of engine and it will leak dead centre of rear engine/or at the front things like the water pump as there is a small hole under in the casing to let out water when the bearings are buggered BUT if leaking only when its hot then its due to something like to much pressure in cooling system ..
Let me know all information ASAP Ron

Leaking coolant from the rear of the engine compartment near the ac drain on a 97 isuzu rodeo 3.2 litre. Not coming from the heater core hoses.Cant seem to find the leak.

try using a mirror to see in the rear of the motor because ther are freez or welch plugs at th rear of the head & engine block!
it may also be leaking behind the flywheel & can only be seen coming from where the transmission or gearbox bolts to th motor!
