Brake lights don't work for my 94 grand am. fuse still good.

Sounds like you have a bad brake light switch, its located on the brake pedal , you can unplug the switch and check for power at the connector with a test light , find the wire that lights up ,plug it back in and go to the other wire with test light and with test light probbed in other wire push brake pedal in and test light should light up if not ,bad switch.

Have you checked the brake light fuse to see if there is power at the fuse and out of the fuse, also check the brake light switch for power in and out when the pedal is pressed, do that and get back to me.?

Brake and tailgate sometimes works

Since tail lights are not part of the brake switch, I wouldn't think so. This sounds more like a bad fuse or some other fault. Do either of the turn signals work? Are the turn signals a part of the brake lights or are they independent?

No brake lights, blubs and fuses ok. center brake light DOES work

Usually when the third brake light works but the regular lights don't the problem is in the turn signal switch.
I would check for voltage there.

94 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 with the 4.0 Keeps blowing the fuse that controls the fuse box inside the jeep, its blowing a 40 amp fuse. I believe there is a short. but i don't where to look.

I have a 94 Jeep grand Cherokee and I can't shift from park to any other gear. It seems to be locked.

Theres a shifter lock, this is so the trany cant be shifted unless your foot is on the brake, the most common problems are the brake light switch is bad or the fuse blew. Have someone look at the rear and see if the brake lights come on when you step on the brake pedal if the lights dont come on then check the fuses , check all fuses then look under the dash where the brake pedal is and look for the brake switch, this is located on the bracket for the pedal, so if you follow the pedal up you will see the switch. check the connector to this brake light switch and make sure its on good. If the connector is on and the fuses are good then you may have a bad switch, unplug the switch and jump the two connector, this is what the switch does except you will bypass the switch by connecting the two wire at the connector to the switch together the brake light should come on and then try shifting. now if when you stepped on the pedal the lights came on then the switch and fuse is good and you may have a bad shifter seloniod, this is a little harder, this is located in the shifter area and gets dirty form spilled coffe or soda and other thing and makes it stick you would need to remove the covers and see. good luck, hope this helps.

My 94 Grand Cherokee has intermittent brake lights. Both bulbs are good, the fuse is good and I even checked a new brake light switch. Anything I am missing?

Try checking one of 2 things, Check the fuses. I had a 94 cavalier do the same thing after i put a 30amp fuse in to a 25amp slot for the courtsy fuse. Also check the bulbs in the tail of the vehical to make sure they are the right ones. If this dose not do it get a test light & wire diagrham, you may have a bad short to ground some where in the brake light wires.
