Hello topromeo.

In modern vehicles there is a system in place to capture and burn the vapors when filling the fuel tank.
This consists of a carbon canister, hoses and valves.
The vapors when filling the tank are routed through the carbon canister and stored there until the car is driven.

Under certain conditions these valves need to close to test the system integrity.
In your case there is a valve that has stuck closed and not allowing vapors to vent through.

This is called a canister vent valve and is located under the car on the carbon canister.
It should be available at your local Buick dealer.

If you require further advise on this subject please ask me here.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Try pulling the nozzle about half way out of the gas hole instead of shoving it all the way in. This happens in my Regal sometimes too, sometimes i have to turn it so it squirts to the right or left in side the hole so it doesnt kick off the pump..... Maybe try a different gas station too, all pumps have different sensors.

remove the principal hose that
goes directly to the gas thank there is got to be somthing stuck there. That slows the gas and causes it to stop the pump.

STARTS AND SHUTS DOWN AFTER 2 SECONDS 95 BUICK CENTURY V6

Not enough fuel pressure.
Hopefully, it might be a clogged fuel filter, start there... replace it. ($9 AutoZone).
Could also be fuel pump or the fuel pressure valve is stuck open, allowing fuel to drain back to the gas tank (no fuel in line).

When i put in gas car spits and spudders clears out untill gas agian

Sound to me like you have water in the bottom of your fuel tank. when you fill it the water is mixed with the gas until it settles. put some gas line antifreeze into the fuel tank, may take several bottles. but this should help. if not you will have to have tank taken off and drained.

Car will not accept gas

try pulling back a little on the nozzle, the tank has an anti rolloverball in the pipe and this sometimes cause it to shut off when the nozzle is stuck all the way into the filler pipe

Filling gas tank

There is a vent pipe that runs along the fill pipe, they get kinked and cause this concern (tank can't vent air when filling), the only fix is to replace the fill pipe assembly.
