The thermostat is behind the front engine cover and you will also need to remove the timing belt to get at it ,the temperature sensor is on the cylinder head but i cannot remember exactly as i get confused between this vehicle and the opel astra model which is the europeon version or a vauxhall in the UK or a holden down under

My 01 Daewoo leganza only blows cold air. Flushed system, changed coolant, thermostat, nothing blocked, tubes from heater core cold...

I have the same prob but i let the car start up for about 5 min and the hot air comes out

2000 daewoo leganza is overheating, leaking anti freeze, and water. what is wrong?

sound like thermostat sticking close.replace thermostat and radiator pressure cap.if already done.you could have faulty water pump.if engine overheating at long slow traffic line or setting at a stand still.the engine cooling fans should be running, check and see if cooling fans running if not,check cooling fans fuses and relays.if all is good,hot wire make sure coolings fans okay.if all is good,code scan vechicle for faulty engine coolant temperature sensor and ecm problems.you need a code scanner where you can check live data check see if coolant temperature sensor reading correctly if engine coolant temperature is 190 degrees the coolant sensor. the scanner suppose to show 190 degrees in temperature if not it reads 80 or 90 degrees the engine coolant temperature sensor is faulty need replacing.if all is good check engine oil if look like milk shake blow head gasket will cause over heating.to be on the safe side i would replace thermostat and radiator pressure cap first.to make sure engine coolant circulating through radiator and engine block.

Hello,
Does the the instrument panel indicate the car is getting to hot or overheating? Check the coolant level in your radiator to be sure but if the temperature gauge says the car is running at an appropriate temperature then I would not worry about the heat being to hot in your cabin. Just adjust the thermostat for the heat to a lower temperature that is more comfortable to you.

Where is the Thermostat located for my heater in my 2001 Daewoo Leganza?

On the engine block at the end of the upper radiator hose inside the housing. It comes in the housing when you buy it from most auto parts stores.

thermostat should be where the top radiator hose meets the engine inside the thermostat housing!

My engine runs hot

Replace the thermostat . Check your coolant level. Do not run the car hot. More damage such as warped heads and head gasket damage will occur.The intake manifold gaskets can also blow. Bleed the system when refilling with antifreeze/coolant. if the fans are not turning replace the temperature control sensor located at the top of the enging near the thermostat housing.

COLD AIR BLOWING THROUGH HEATER

I DON'T IT'S THE THERMOSTAT, BECAUSE I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, COME TO FIND OUT IT WAS MY BYPASS HOSE BEHIND THE ENGINE THAT WAS LICKING THE COOLANT. CHECK COOLANT RESEVOIR.
