4 - 3 - 2 - 1 for the spark plug wire routing of a 1997 Honda

You have to replace the Valve cover gasket. Inside the spark plug hole, midway down is a gasket, every spark plug hole has them, you cant see it because its, well a gasket pressed against two very tight suface every spark plug hole, When these leak they fil up the sprkplug cavity, as you know. Go to a parts store, spend $30 dollars on a VALVE COVER GASKET SET. If reparied properly wiil be a 100% fix. If it's a 4 cylinder honda,, a monkey with downs syndrom could do this in five minutes. V6 accord, save yourself the time, grief and heart ache, and take it to a Professional.
Cylinder #2 is the the second spark plug counting from the right to left.

Your misfire can be cause by couple of things but the cheapest way that you can try to fix your car is to do a tune up by replacing:
1)all spark plugs
2)do a oil change
3)spark plug wires
3)distributor cap and rotor
note misfire can be cause by:
1.bad gas
2.spark plug and/or wire
3.distributor cap and/or rotor
4.valve adjustment
5.injector
6.off timing
7.ECM
8.bad wiring(power, ground or feed line)
The 2.7 L - V6 engine in a 1996 Honda Accord is : 1 - 4 - 2 - 5 - 3 - 6
The distributor rotor turns COUNTER-CLOCKWISE
The engine cylinders / spark plug locations are numbered :

1-3-4-2 Distributor rotation-clockwise, number 1 cylinder is on driver side, number 1 position on distributor looking down on it; is to the rear driver side.
The firing order is; 1-3-4-2 and the rotor moves in a counterclockwise direction. Turn the crank shaft and set the engine at TDC (top dead centre). This ill set the rotor arm pointing at No1 cylinder. From this point you can replace the HT leads in the above order.
