Check your bulbs and fuses. If that dont work you may have an electrical problem.

I drive a 2004 alero and the service engine light and low water light both came on around the same time, i put in more water but it keeps running out. Smoke is also coming out from the mufflers now. I...

Sounds like a Head gasket. If you have white smoke coming out the tailpipe, it is a classic sign of a damaged head gasket as the coolant is getting in the engine and burning it. Coolant burns white so thats where you are likely getting your problem from. To double check, pull your oil dipstick and see if the oil is "milky" or overfull. It may not be but if it is, I would say head gasket.

My turn signal lights on my Oldsmobile alero comes on and off while drive. what should i do for that.

most common failure is the flasher module which is located in the center of the dash. it is also the hazard light switch above the radio. the module gets a bad contact in it and makes the signal lights work without having to turn them on.

What causes a thumping noise when driving a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero and when turning the steering wheel?

It depends on where the sound is coming from, but the most likely suspect would be a worn tie-rod end. There is most likely excessive wear that is permitting movement of the tie-rod end and is thus causing the thumping sound when turning. That is when it would be most prevalent. Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

Service engine soon light 2004 Alero

if it truly set code for "loose fuel cap" or po455 large leak, then tightening the cap and driving a couple days should reset on its own. if not then get it checked for free at autozone and report back with code # and can help from there. they'll ck for free but are not allowed to reset.

If the security light is flashing when that happens, you need to turn the key to the ON position, and let it sit for 10 minutes, so it can reset the security code. Start it up as normal and let it idle for 5 minutes.
