How do i fix my windshield wiper fluid if its frozen in the lines inside the walls of my 2000 Toyota Rav4?

You canstart your car and let it heat up on its own, it will eventually get thawed, or you can remove the lines and thaw them out indoors using warm tap water. The pump can freeze and bust as will the tank, so inspect those too when you get the lines thawed out.

Frozen gas line on car

If it is frozen, adding Heet will no thaw it. It has to mix with the fuel first to prevent freezing. Pretty unusual for water to be in gas but it could be possible. Don't over look other fuel situations, i.e. fuel filter, fuel pump etc.

How do i tell if the block is cracked or a freeze plug needs replaced in a 1993 honda accord?

Overheating and loss of coolant is a hint. Cracked blocks are very rare, cylinder head leaks are not.

My 97 expedition has a miss fire. was told by canadian tire that it was something wrong with the engine, meaning it was no longer any good. i changed the coils and the wires as well as the plugs, the...

First off, I would get a second opinion (and not put alot of faith in C/T) I would get the cooling system pressure tested & checked for leaks internal & external to eliminate bad head gasket or cracked coolant passage way. (If it had an internal leak - plugs would be wet and you would see white smoke from exhaust) RE; miss - run a really good/strong fuel system cleaner through it (Seafoam,STP, Gumout) and then change fuel filter.

Is there freeze plugs on the inline slant six? im a bozo and let the coolant freeze because a lack of antifreeze. how do i tell what the damage is once its thawed?

Yes there ARE freeze plugs on the inline L6 engine. In reality they aren't actually freeze plugs but are welsh plugs used to get the stuffing out of the block after it is cast. All engines have them except for some exotic high dollar race engines. (some heads have them as well).
To find whatever got damaged, just fill it up with water and see where it leaks.
if you turned the engine over, you may have damaged the water pump as ice will break the impeller. So, if you see no circulation that's where to look. If it's really really frozen most times the belt will just slip though.

Please add antifreeze on your coolant to prevent this situation. A frozen coolant is dangerous to your car.

How can I thaw frozen heater coil hoses?

If your heater core hoses are frozen you should immediately drain the coolant out of your radiator and engine and refill it with the proper mixture. Your lucky if your heater core lines are the only thing that froze, it could have popped a freeze plug or two out of the block. You could use a hair dryer or heat gun if you need to unfreeze it quickly.

The washer fluid in frozen in the tank - 2008 cobalt lt

Most times you can mostly thaw it out with a hair-dryer. There are available washer fluids that will not freeze as easily.Once thawed, you can siphon out what is in there and save it for summer. One thing to remember though is that temps at the windshield especially on very cold days can be far cooler than ambient temps when in motion and can freeze even the best fluids either in the lines or on the glass.

I havent started it since it froze not sure if it would do further damage. Is pressure testing something I can do myself ,like the ones autozone loan out.(the screw on the radiator type?)

hi, if you are sure it is no longer frozen then you can go ahead and try starting it if its no longer frozen you should be able to see if their are any leaks anywhere the most likely place is going to be the rad itself so have a good look around hear if you see no leaks and your sure it is no longer frozen then you can go ahead and try starting it you may be lucky and find you have no problems.

Freezing can cause the rad to split and leak it can also cause the cylinder head to crack and or the head gasket to blow.

So once it has thawed out properly have a good look for any water leaks check the coolant level if the level has dropped then you need to find out where this water has gone ie has it gone inside the cylinder if how ever the coolant level is fine then go ahead and start the car.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
