The hold button on my 2004 Suzuki Verona comes on out of no where flashing and it stops my car from excelerating. I haveto pull over and shut the car off then on in order to contiue driving. After 2k dollars in reapirs over the last 3 months...I just want to know if this feature can be disconnected???? I don't need it. Thanks
My 04 verona is doing the exact same thing. If there were any solutions please let me know. Its scary when it happenes in the middle of the night through a intersection with a baby in the back.
The is a Shift-Lock Release. It's by the shifter. Make sure the car is off then remove the shift lock release cover then stick your key in and start the car it'll be fine after that. But if it happens again do the same thing

2004 suzuki verona: the transmission starts off in third gear..idle Here's one for you ..... My verona started doing the samething . Checked the code (crankshaft sensor A low voltage) cleared the code , but it came back ...Checked all fuses, all OK.. Started the car , while running pulled the fuse for trans control mod . Light stop flashing ... Put the fuse back in . No more shift problems ..... Tom Bowman / [email protected]
I have the same problem and the dealership told me the ransmission control module may be out and it cost 1,116.68 no way I can afford this
SOURCE: i have 2004 suzuki verona
The problem is the transmission control module. This is a very common problem on the Verona. Once you get the car in 3rd gear it should pick up speed and do a lot better. But it is usually just 1st and 2nd gear that is effected with this problem.
