What kind of coolant is needed for a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am?

just go down to your local auto parts store and buy your basic antifreeze -- you can buy a premixed 50/50,, but depending on where you live and the temperatures,, I would suggest buying 100% antifreeze and adding water to it,, if you look on the back of the antifreeze bottle there will be a chart to determine the correct ratio mix for your areas temperature.

Does a 2005 Volvo V70 2. 5 engine require a specific kind of antifreeze when replacing after a complete flush? Can you use over the counter antifreeze labeled "for all cars and trucks"?

Yes you can use any quality antifreeze, or you can use the long-life antifreeze from your dealership. It's your call. Over the counter antifreeze will not harm your vehicle iin any way. Hope this helps!
