The ets light comes on when engine is hot - 1999 Volvo S70

The ETS light is the warning light for the Electronic Traction Control. Check Engine light indicates there is a problem with the emissions system. Check engine light is for telling you that there is A problem with the fuel injection or emissions system, Most of the time there is no major problem to really wory about. ETS is the light for the Enhanced Traction system (traction control) This is not A vital component of your car.

If these two lights come on together then the extra traction sensor is broken and needs to be replaced when the sensor is fixed the check engine light will go off and the ets light will work properly again.

You need to get a scanner hooked up to see if your computer has found an error, for the reason the check engine light goes on.

the ets light will come on when you have a driveability problem it would be the best bet the check the dtcs and fix those for the check engine light first clear everything then drive it.
