Once I put the key in to start the car the key wont turn.

Try the auto manufacturers 30 minute security reset.

Search "chrysler security reset" for instructions.

Mercedes ! so your locks probably got some liquid oil something in them by some clever guy trying to fix it, bad move, get yourself some graphite. just a small bottle, with a SMALL opening don't cut it off just poke it. small hole! it is a metal powder that if you get it on your clothes it stains, so with a old towel in your lap, put a bit of graphite on your key and rub it all over, then blow a little with the bottle nozzle into the key hole just once, then start moving the key in and out slowly, it will get easier , add a little more powder then start on turning the key . work your way through all the locks like this . should fix all of them and make other stuff start coming on again. too much of this stuff wont hurt it but does sort of clog it with the greasy stuff in there, take your time.

unhook battery 15 min hook back on lower driver window put key on ignition just bump the engine and wait until security lit stop flashing turn key off do it again 3 times once lit goes off crank engine an should start if lit wont go away or flash while cranking you have a security issue at switch or bcm now need a scanner capable to look at the security data

It sound like you have a bad ground, what will happen if this is the case is you put you key in the ignition and turn to run "not starting the engine" and everything is on and bright, when you try to turn the engine over it will click once "just when the key hits the start position" and everything will shut off lights and all. if you take the key out and do it again it will produce the same results.

Sounds like a defective starter solenoid, if the key was the issue you would hear nothing.

check the earth wire, sometimes they are lose enough to be problematic. Although if turning over and not firing up, does sound like immobiliser issue. Are you using the master key? although I'm not sure about 1994, should deativate once unlocked with key, unless after market alarm set up

Take the key apart, replace the battery. The car needs to relearn the key, so stick it in the ignition, turn the car to the "on" setting without starting, press the unlock button on the fob. Thats it!

Sounds like you have the engine locked somehow. Try turning the engine by putting a wrench on the front engine pully. If you cant turn the engine you may have something wrong ... like the clutch plate the wrong way round. What happens when you push the clutch pedal down ... does it feal right ?
